Michel Sarrazin et Fils
Les Bois Gauthiers Givry 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Strange combo of 100% New FO and herbal qualities but somehow it works. Would guess this to be 2011 Burg if blinded. Texture is phenomenal

Jan 23rd, 20152015. Wham. This is the taste of an above 20€ bottle. Dark red. Open nose, although only moderate alcoholic at 13%. This is not cherries, this is not black currant, and all the other rubbish words used by self installed experts, this is the divine bouquet of a pinot noir as you can only experience it on genuine. French terroir. A little bit to sour in the mouth at the end but deliciously abundand at the start, a moderate lasting finale of smooth tannins. One should not forget to record the pleasing aftertaste of ample red fruit, without any fear that it was distilled from the gutter. Remerkably... My rating is adapted relatively to the category it’s playing in!
