Michel Gassier
Syrah

My first introduction to French Syrah is one of Deja Vu. More dry and spicy than your Australian Syrah's but delicious none the less. The finish doesn't linger long on the tongue and with notes of red fruit and wood this floral red is definitely worth trying if you like earthy wines.

Nice acidity but lacking in fruit and aromatics. I know I shouldn't be too critical about a $13 wine but I'm also having the delicious Lafage "Bastide Miraflors" Côtes du Roussillon ($12) with dinner tonight.
