So luscious with great balance and length. Fruit is still at forefront with plenty of time to go. #ogier #coterotie #rhonevalley #syrah #ctbucklinwine

Nice mix of dark and red fruits with lovely savory notes of olive, pepper, graphite and violets. Beautiful elegance with this. Drink any time now.

Darker fruit, spice earth. Structure is more restrained. Next to the lalas, it felt weak, but I think would be fantastic with food on its own

Exceptional. Roasted meats, bright red fruits, spices and elegant. Lots of life left but in a nice place right now.

This is a superb, complex Côte-Rôtie from Domaine Michel & Stephane Ogier. The 1998 La Belle Hélène opens with a saturating, perfumy nose of wild blackberry thicket, olive tapenade, rare meat, sandalwood and violets. This particular bottle has both concentration and structure, at this point it''s drinking beautifully. With 30 months aging on new oak, La Belle Hélène is a wine that requires patience and time. Finishes with layers of Garrigue, juniper berry, spice and and a trace of black strap molasses.

Floral & polished showing lots of dark cherry, raspberry fruits, bacon fat, licorice spice & violets that is just reaching its drinking window.
