This wine is big and bold. Needs at least an hour to open up. Once it does you get dark chocolate, pencil shavings, leather, tobacco, and some fresh cherry. This wine is extremely tannic - drinking the 2008 and still had lots of life in it. Little too much for my liking, the profile is there but was lacking fruit balance.
