In a great spot. Oozing with blackberries and boysenberries. Delicious.

Sometimes you just need a pizza and a great Zin. Check, check. First time with the Scarlett Zin. Floral hints on the nose, surprisingly, and one of the lightest colored zins I can recall. The palate is more true to form, bringing a wave of full bodied fruit. Long, plush finish. Gets better and better in the glass.

First of the pop off the truck, mainly because its the least expensive. Typically I don’t buy Zin’s over $20-25.00, I believe this was $40.00.
Lighter color than expected especially for 15.8 Abv probably because there’s no Mega purple in it, i.e Austin Hope 🙄good Mike Smith made wine.

Not a big Zin fan but figured I'd give this one a shot. Started out sweet but became much more approachable an hour+ in. Doubt I start drinking more of them but this was a fine way to wrap up the weekend.

Started off a bit sweet, but that diminished with about 45 minutes of air. Still, it's lush and ripe in style, with juicy purple fruits at the forefront. I'm curious how this will evolve with another two years in the cellar.

This was tight on opening. Really unique flavorwise (probably due to the unusual rutherford terroir). The berry flavors aren't overpowering despite the richness. This allows herb to shine through here and there. Midpalate is where this shines. Little pepper on the end. Lighter color than what you would expect. Good zin.

Very rich, dense yet nicely flavored. Smooth finish.
