BlackBerry, plum on the nose, very pleasant smell. I’m would say it’s more medium than full body even though the waiter said it was a full body (he brought it over and said he drinks it himself). It’s a very good wine.

Session 3 of Wine Essentials One at the Institute of Culinary Education Center for Wine Studies.
This Valpolicella Classico (“baby Amarone”) has personality but may be reaching the end of its peak, as this smells and looks old. This has a smoky, herbal bouquet, with notes of cedar and leather. Despite this, this wine has herbal flavors. On the palate are also cranberry and coffee. If it were slightly younger, this would be a great Thanksgiving wine. On a personal note, Valpolicella Classico was one of my grandfather’s favorite wines.
