A little funky but nice richness and structure.

Unbelievable 1998 grand cru that has been lovingly and properly rested on its side for years. Dark, fresh tar and Vinyl on the nose...this nose is powerful and intimidating. Acidity is very low , tanin structure is soft and supple. Color is a gorgeous burgundy. Legs medium. Finish feels like it falls off at the mid palate then just lingers ever so gently forever. A true treat.

smells of fur, wood, ripe red cherry, licorice, wet earth, animal funk- same on the palate. straightforward meursault.
