On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, the youths (mostly college)! Our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading one operatic work from WAGNER (Die Walküre, Act I). This is our WAGNER weekend with the BSO, Acts II & III will be performed tomorrow afternoon and evening.
Upper Model, land of limestone and the Elbling grape. It's been a few years since our last bottle, much improved today. Nose of cold green apple, fresh lemon peel, white sugar on cut lemon. Palate is picking up a wee bit of sweetness, still light acidity, granite/limestone dust, green herbs muddled in fresh apple cider. Likely this 2013 should be able to hit a 10 year birthday.

Mineral driven dryness, light acidity, very low sugar. Notable difference between the standard bottling and this version, the Zehnkommanull. It can rest easy for several more years. Upper Mosel, land of limestone, and Ebling.
(This is the 10% version.)
