At first sniff, I smell raspberries with cedar. The taste is evenly balanced with earthy notes of oak finished with hazelnut.

Inviting nose. Really smooth on the pallet; subtle, so should accompany just about anything but I’m thinking would complement a strong flavored cheese or something with a distinctive flavor.

Jan 9th, 2020For the price point of this Matthews Cabernet Sauvignon, it doesn’t get any better. It’s medium bodied & light on tannins. The strawberry and blueberry notes are delightful. Little hints of basil and cinnamon come through. Made for any meal.

With notes of cherry, chipotle and white pepper on the nose your senses will be piqued. Flavors of plum, bing cherry, nutmeg and black tea flow through this medium bodied cab. Easy drinking even with high acid and tannins.
