Old World Merlot Blend

Cheers to the Mattabella 2005 Old World Blend bottled at Jamesport Vineyards (cork). Beautiful aroma of dried cherry. On the palate it's a bit light with very few tannins left. What's left in tannin is overpowered a bit by alcohol and quickly fading finish. I just love seeing how LI wines evolve but I wish I tried this a few years ago.

Stored this guy for 2 years. Delicious berries.

Reserve Chard...buttery, but not overly, gentle acidity, the right amount of oak and an overall great balance. Quality pour. This will only get better with a couple years in the 'cellar'.

High marks all around. Great taste. Great nose. Label... still not sure whats going on there.

This red knocks it out of the park. Best old school, earthy, Italian style red I've had in years.

Lighter and greener than the '09. Not one of their stronger efforts.
