Fairly closed nose, with mushroom, tea, and licorice and sweet cherries lurking within. Quite sweet on palate, but full and lush, texturally seductive, and finely made. Not a great buy for $100 though a leader of its kind. 2007 vintage.

Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, currants, spice and tobacco. On the palate, dark cherry, raisin, prune, plum, tobacco, medium weight and silky smooth in the mouth. Long finish and surprisingly still strong tannins present.
