Vin de Pétanque Vin de Pays des Côteaux de l'Ardèche Grenache Blend

I like this a lot. Not overly complex but so drinkable. Pretty, fresh, upfront fruit with classic CDR licorice, earth and spice layers yet none of the heat or cloying overripeness that so often mars the style; soft texturally without seeming manipulated. Excellent value at around €10.

Syrah/Grenache/Mourvèdre. The kinda wine I could drink every Monday...

Blinded this as an Ardeche wine. Reminiscent of Texier's Grenache based wines from the area. Lots of stony minerality, gritty tannin and blue/black fruit.

So fresh and alive.

Opens with blackberry and spice. Medium yo full bodied with green notes following the berry flavors. Delicious. Structured tannins.
