Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages Red Rhône Blend

Revisiting this 9 months later. Can't be sure it's exactly the same wine, but love it now. Aromatic, black raspberry jam, mineral. Amazing value. Not sure how they do this.

As close as it gets to CDP

Exactly what you want from a $12 Cotes du Rhone. Intense fruit and rich with character.

When in the CDP isn't ready the CDR-V crushes it

Tasty, but on the big, jammy side for Côtes du Rhone in by book. Good value.

More complex, black fruits and a strong finish. Good amount of alcohol in the mouth. Very #côtesduroussillonvillages

The 14 is a bit wound up at this point. Has more tannin than 13. Same dark fruit profile and earth

nothing special at all.

Solid a little thin.

Big blackberry flavor. Acid is pretty tight still, even after letting it open up for a while. Good earthy and cedar notes, pretty big tannin, with just enough plum coming through, too. Solid wine.
