Light in color and texture but also earthy flavors- very drinkable.

Extremely aromatic nose showing pot purri, cut grass and chalky dark red fruit. Very ripe on the palate with candied red floral flavors and heavy oak usage. Flabby with nowhere near enough acidity.

Structurally sound. Good balance. However, some heat to this which makes it a bit stringent.

This wine surprised me. Tasted blind, it's brick color suggests some age, and it's barnyard nose is very Burgundian. Actually guessed it to be a Marcassin. Good fruit, nice acidity and a lengthy finish. Very much enjoyed it.
