Blackberry, vanilla, and baking spices on the nose. Rich and full bodied on the palate with sappy sweet dark fruit, vanilla, and velvety soft tannins. Barrel blend of several of their Russian River Valley single vineyard Zinfandels fermented with wild yeast and aged in 33% new French oak. 16.2% ABV.

Real, old-school, not flat, not manufactured, not oaky, not a mass-produced, commercial wine. Not fine but honest and modest. Authentic California aromas. Round and rich, good acidity. Good but not great concentration, Very good.

Yes high alcohol but 30 min in the glass and it's beautiful and without complaints.
