Cviček Dolenjska Red Blend
Still having trouble pronouncing this, but had no trouble at all gulping it. Probably the lightest red I've ever had. I've had roses that were heavier than this. A nice quaffer.

Nov 29th, 2015Almost rose-like. Very beautiful acid and elegant aromas of flowers, under ripe cherry, and a little inorganic earthiness/minerality. Very light bodied, but still has a little tannin. Blend of red and white grapes.

Aug 7th, 2017"A decent breakfast wine"??? I confess not having performed the experiment myself, but it seems to me that only the most virgin of morning tastebuds could find anything appealing here. With any food at all, it completely disappears. No fruitiness to speak of, a slight hint of vinous bouquet, perhaps a beverage to substitute if your water supply is dodgy and there is no beer to be had, but how this one made it to these shores in the first place, and how the importer could ask for a$15-ish retail price, confounds belief. Perhaps it was the first wine tasted on a busy day and the importer misplaced his notes? 2015 vintage. 9.5%ABV
