J’avais plus apprécié, il y a quelques années, manquait de backbone, le vin semblait mou, aucun tannins, gros fruits rouges confiturés, lourd et sucré. Ca faisait longtemps que j’avais eu une mauvaise expérience avec l’Espagne

Elegant and balanced concentration with sweetness and spicy. It would be better to wait for more years. 30 minutes, woke up and smokey aroma came. Fruity. 1hour much deep. @1400, TMedoc - XH, 180911-190118

Dark cherry, hint of spice and vanilla, well balanced body and tannin level and classic Rioja oaky aromas. Finish was solid but not as lengthy as some other gran reservas, perfect when paired with a medium rare steak

Still young, typical rioja, I agree with comments about being one dimensional. Very enjoyable for a sunday afternoon

Smooth and spicy red fruit tannins. Tobacco and cedar oak, tannins are out there awaiting some Bellota or some beef as the usual suspect.
