1 person found it helpfulSep 30th, 2016.......unlike some so called "Amarone" producers, who trim the canopy back to sun blister the grapes in order expedite the sugar concentration, and also trellis lower to the ground to obtain excess moisture and rapid raisination, the Biscardo family's Ripasso Superiore is a TRUE " baby Amarone". In fact.....for a fraction of the price, it is better than many of those AmaPHONY producers Amarone!
