Valpolicella Ripasso Corvina Blend

This is a nice, easy-drinking Ripasso without a lot of appassimento character. Black cherry, red currant, rhubarb, hints of cocoa and red plum. Low tannin, high acidity leaves the wine a bit clunky and out of balance but it’s still a pleasant drink

Valpolicella that was missing the important component that makes it so special. That savory, raisin like essence. This is way new age in style, & the vignerons are a young group. Hopefully they can turn out a textbook valpolicella superior in the future.

Had this with some burrata, pecorino and some cured meats. Good.

(16.5/20) Элегантный аромат спелых красных лесных ягод с лёгкой перечной ноткой. Довольно высокая кислотность и аккуратные танины.

Full body, nice finish, reason why I enjoy Italian wines!
