Last Friday was our normal 4th Friday happy hour at the storage facility, but since this month had 5 Fridays, why not keep the party going?!

One of the best white wines I've had to date. For those of you who have contributed to the 8.7 overall score on Delectable, shame on you. This is mind blowing stuff. Herbal and grassy like on the nose, but the palate is so freaking rich and pure.
@Benjamin Keator mentioned he got some cotton candy on it and I could most definitely see that. Lush on the palate. My wife's exact words were "why do we not have this?" 😕💸

Another great Classic Wine Happy Hour in the books! Always a treat to have a designated day each month where guys can pull out some unique bottles!

White of the day for me. Unbelievably balanced in both fruit and secondary notes. Salty popcorn kernel, peach, lemon cream. Delicious!

Oxidized, yes. Drinkable, for sure. Honey, stone fruit wrapped in caramel. Didn’t last long as it died within an hr

In a 15 bottle lineup, with 5-6 bottles being white wine, this one easily took the prize. Beat a 2009 and 2013 Aubert Chardonnay like it was just in another league. I would have loved to have tried this Chard in a 2012 offering alongside the 2004 similar to how a 2013 Aubert chard was served with an 09. As one person defined it, this wine didn't seem to have the buttery note, this one seemed to be the MOVIE POPCORN note on which the butter goes. This wine was very mature. Structured as hell. Had a little bit of butter on the nose and on the very front of the palate, but this one was a little more grassy to me. I would say that sage is what I probably experienced the most right in the front, but this then sort of dried to a hearthier gritty and "stone ground" kind of experience. Not much melon, mango, grapefruit or citrus. In a word: provocative. Had you kind of wondering throughout the entire experience just WTF you were tasting, knowing that whatever synapsed in the brain, it was GOOD. Definitely not full malolactic at all, and very much a different direction compared to (both) Aubert chards.

I may never have one of these again...and it's drinking amazing. See Shay for proper drinking notes
