I had the pleasure of having this about a year and a half ago and my note was:
“This is one of the best chards I've tasted. No way this is past its prime. Zestiness to it, but also a great weight. Awesome gold color. Crisp acidity but also unreal balance and complexity.”

This time around, it was a step up in almost every way. It again had me saying this is one of the great domestic Chardonnays I’ve ever had. Savory sea salt and waxy characteristics have arrived with astounding weight. Gorgeous bottle from

Funny how a nice evening can round in to form on a spontaneous whim!

If Dan is involved, you can bet on Aubert or Marcassin whites being opened. This is one of the best chards I've tasted. No way this is past its prime. Zestiness to it, but also a great weight. Awesome gold color. Crisp acidity but also unreal balance and complexity.

Prefer this to Three Sisters of same vintage. More vibrant.

2006 Marcassin Marcassin Vineyard Chardonnay. Wine charity dinner bought by H&C S, hosted at the house. Drank alongside the 2005 Domaine Leflaive Batard-Montrachet. Both were great. This was oakier, more acidic, and bigger. Great! Table was split as to which they preferred.
