It’s actually Mendo and Sonoma county fruit. 70-30 towards the southern clime. Funky and informative label. High ABV of 15.5%. It smells dense. Classic jams of Zin, but a funky side with barnyards and sweet Asian plum sauce like they serve with Moo shu pork. Flavors are balanced and Zinlicious. Plenty of acid, lots of cola, hint of leather, herbal, little licorice. This is Old Vine Costal Zin in all its glory. The tannins are there, but it’s just firm enough. You can’t even tell that it’s so hot with all that alcohol. This was a definite Grocery Outlet buy again wine.
