What an interesting wine. First time having roter veltliner for sure, at Steirereck in Vienna. Might have guessed vouvray in the nose. Some real depth and richness but stays light on its feet on the finish. Acid is much more subdued than most whites I like but somehow this works together. Unexpectedly good pairing with a beautiful braised fennel dish. Nice and fun to try.
