From Cris Cherry’s new operation out of Villa Creek in Paso, the Maha wines I believe are all estate fruit. This was surprisingly approachable for such a young petite sirah (didn’t know that was the dominant grape, as it just says “red wine” on the back!). Not surprisingly, this was terrific. The Villa Creek High Road is still my favorite of his, but the Maha wines are definitely worth your time to seek out!
