Fruity, spicy, and light. Sour, and light in tannins? It's a little watered-down for my tastes.

I love San Antonio winery. Today I received a free bottle of Maddalena Merlot which I am drinking now. It is phenomenal! The ratings and reviews on this or not to my satisfaction nor agreement. This is a spicy dark fruit Merlot. It is wonderful. No tang, no after taste, no bitter anything. Not too dry. Lots of oak and chocolate. I’m telling you Riboli Paso Robles Merlots are phenomenal. The Riboli family are so lucky to have this amazing woman as their matriarch. WOW ... best merlot I have ever had.

Dark velvety and juicy. Very enjoyable merlot.

This one has a firm alcohol smell similar to rubbing alcohol. The rowdy group of folks I partook in drinking this bottle with agreed ho-heartily. This wine is not jammy and leaves a lingering burning effect on the back of ones tongue. If it was a cold night in a warm igloo I would not drink this, on the converse it's a cold night in the cold I'd be the first one asking for a glass..

Hints of apricots, white grapes, and peaches. A delicious spring and summer wine.

Pleasantly tannic, did very well with truffle paste.
