Did not know what to expect as I have not tried any Zinfandel before but the word around town was Dave Lowe's was the best in Mudgee. Although the nose had a red berry quality to it, there was a slightly strange kerosine like smell coming through. Not to worry however as the flavours of this wine had a superbly festive feel about them. Notes of chocolate, plum and Christmas cake. A tad bitter but that was redeemed by a luscious mouth feel.

This is a wine I wasn't able to try as it was bottle only. Need to check in and see if it is available in the US.
