This wine is sentimental to me for so many reasons: the vintage, having driven past Island View Vineyard everyday for years, knowing the winemaker and winery....In short, I'll just say that it's humbling to be drinking Michigan's best Pinot Blanc away from home knowing I that have maybe 12 bottles left for the year. #allthefeels Notes: lavender, blueberries, cotton blossom, lime and mango. Mild, electric, and quenchy. @leftfootcharley

Not as unctuous as some vintages. But still all yellow apples and Meyer lemon.

Cantaloupe, honey, lemon zest. Crisper on the palate with more acid than expected, fleshy, full. Paired with mussels, perfection.

A solid effort, especially given the brutal winter of 2013-14. Because of the low yields, fruit from Prairie School and Shangri-la Vineyards was included with that of Island View. Not quite as rich and intense as previous LFC Pinot Blancs, but quite tasty nevertheless. A year or two in the bottle might find this tasting even better.
