L'Aventure is a winery I've long been curious about—I was delighted to learn that it was one of our stops on a recent media trip to Paso Robles. And now, I understand all the fanfare. These wines all have a shimmering mineral thread running through them, like a silken cord, a trait that is discernible even in L'Aventure's heavier reds. The estate's deep calcareous soils have something to do with it, but the winemaker has deft hand, too. The 2016 Rosé is fresh and diaphanous with a length suspends itself over the tongue—red berries, melon, petrichor, sea foam. #pasowine

One of my favorite Rosés! Not a surprise another favorite Rosé of mine is made by Stephan's former assistant winemaker as they are similar in style. My favorite part of this wine is that despite the varietals used, it still has a softness that it hard to find in other similar Paso Rosé blends.
