Chateauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

A more modern Chateauneuf with smooth tannins. Very approachable.

Massive, powerful, very ripe, concentrated. Notes of bramble, plum.

Black cherries, old leather, chewy, dry.... ponderous. Nary a giggle here.

Commanding, titanic Kate Winslett, licorice, Logan berry, ground nutmeg, still young, fleshy

Intense black & red fruit. Spice and leather on the nose. Beautiful fruit in mouth. Good length and complexity of flavors. Very nice Chateauneuf!

Loads of brambly fruit on the front, turning more savory with gamey/leather notes coming through. Ends with flavors of tea and bright berry fruit.

Simple leather aroma with a similar spice that carries through along with old, candies cherry. Smooth tannins.

I am not sure about this one. Nose was off putting from the start. It was drinkable but not really enjoyable. Very thin to me and rather acidic. Could not really get the flavors to distinguish themselves. Re-corked and will revisit hopefully with a better result.

Dark ruby red color with clean red fruits like cherry & raspberry, fresh herbs & spices, and hint of dark chocolate on the nose. Medium-to-full-bodied with strong taste of red cherry, plum, caramel, and nice spiciness of dried herbs & spices. Nice texture & balanced, soft & smooth tannins, nice control of spiciness & acidity, and nice medium length on the finish. Easy-to-drink when comparing with expensive and well-known Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Very good value for money.

It's ok. Not as sensational as tardieu laurant. 1690 baht is a bit pricy for the quality.
