Hermitage (not Crozes Hermitage) at around $30 is almost unheard of at this day and age. It'd be a pretty good introduction to this appellation for anyone who haven't tasted it. However, there are better valued wine from Rhône at this price. Earthy and savoury wine that pairs well with rustic slow cooked meat.
