Medium ruby . Blackcurrant , dark plum , touch of vanilla , and touch of spice , tobacco . Quite ripe black fruits, cassis, tobacco , granite notes , with quite strict acidity and slightly drying tannin . However it is a perfectly reasonable second wine , slightly more serious and ambitious than I was expecting , quite classic in style . This is drinking now , with food and will last quite well over the next 5 -7 years.
