This is a prime example of quality and value as equals. Classic rich Barossa Zone Shiraz, with a beautiful bouquet of eucalyptus plant, stewed plums, strawberry jam, and vanilla extract. The liquid is dark purple and a garnet rim, and shows high alcoholic content in the glass. The pallet is luscious, and quite rich, showing notes of chocolate covered strawberries, cracked pepper corn, blackberries (stewed for cobbler), and a very velvety lingering finish to this full bodied aussie monster. I feel like this wine was almost dessert worthy, or at least would benefit from pairing with a salted bone in pork chop or Indian food. It was a delight for under $20 and could even benefit from age. Drink now through 2022.

Pitch black and dense, this 2013 vintage is rich and fleshy. Very upfront aroma of plum, blackberry jam, eucalyptus, white pepper with hint of tobacco and roasted coffee beans. Palate is plush and broad with additional fig and oak spices taste. Puckering tannins. Interestingly it adds 2% Viognier. Will buy more.

Yummy! Perfect for burgers on this warm February day. Jammy dark fruits and meatiness make this a great value at 20 bucks.

Enjoyed with slow cooker pulled pork. Initially opened with aroma of brambly blackberries and eucalyptus leaves. Developed mint aromas and earthy pepper. Dense flavors of black fruit, dark bitter chocolate and sour cherry. Rich full bodied wine. Best enjoyed with hearty roasted or grilled meat.

Black Twizzlers comin' at ya. Licorice front accompanied by other candy. Probably best pared with heavy salt and spice.
