A very nice wine and one to try for those only accustomed to California Zin. This one comes from Croatia, and on our trip there a few years back, we were amazed at the wide variety of styles made there. This wine has a power to it and certain flavors pop above the red and black fruit in there when paired with different things. The clove note really popped alongside our dinner of braised beef shanks. Very nice.
