Skrlet
At a regional pumpkin festival in rural Croatia, we tried several types of škrlet, an ancient varietal that almost went extinct. After trying the first three, I could see why. But this one actually impressed. Light fruity aroma. Dry, but balanced and light enough to offset some of the bitterness which is apparently part of škrlet’s makeup. I’d drink it again, which I can’t say for the others.
