Fruit bomb and mint or licorice on the nose. Fruity palate. Very good

I love wine from Cahors and you rarely see it on a menu. Found this one at Rye in Leawood, KS. (Save room for pie) Always a simple, straightforward wine that delivers. I hope I can find this to bring home!

Rich it more subtle than the standard South American Malbec. Touch of fizz. Dark cherry and a lot of Italian herb.

This was our old world selection for yesterday's Malbec World Day celebration. (Why isn't it called World Malbec Day? So clunky.) Serving this one second is yet another item in a long list of my bad life choices, but it's not the wines fault. Subtler than its South American counterpart, with lots of minerality on the nose and palate.
