Julian Haart
HaartRiesling
Like the Keller Von der Fels, we've got a GG-killer over here. According to Pinard de Picard, this is the second most sought after Riesling in Germany, after the VdF of course, and I can definitely see why. It's intense and concentrated, yet super fine. Aromas of tangerine, lemon drops, white flowers, smoke, wet stones, and nutmeg. The palate's a little more forgiving than previous encounters with Julian's wines. Nice fruit richness, but don't get me wrong, the acidity's still the trademark enamel-stripping kind. Really enjoyed this wine, but the best thing is it's price. Such great value!
