Mar 7th, 2022Similar note to my last bottle, decanted this time and did the trick. Opened quickly with dark currants and a tannic bite on the back end. Pleasant on a Thursday evening.

Apr 13th, 2018Light ruby in the glass with wide edges. Super earthy nose of blackberries, tobacco, cherries, and damp moss. As big of a fan as I am of California’s take on Bordeaux, sometimes they don’t always work. Especially when they’re more reminiscent of the thin and bland Bordeaux variety. After that beautiful nose comes a ton of fruit. Tired strawberries, stewed plums, and a bit too much oak. It gets better the second day with the sharpness of the acid calming down but overall, it just leaves you flat.

Mar 24th, 201865% cab franc, 20% cab sauv, 15% merlot. On opening a bit of tart cherry but that is softening and offering more dark fruit now that it's been open an hour. Pale ruby & Rustic, with dusty tannins adding some grip on the finish.
