Very different from the last bottle of this I opened back in May. 2hrs decanted before it came together. Blackberry, cloves, tart acidity, mild tannins. A touch of age on the nose but overall fresh and lively when it finally opened up.

Tons of lovely fruit, still formidable structure and more than a little heat (15.8 per cent alcohol.). The tannins will resolve eventually, but will the heat ever dissipate? If it does, my rating will soar, so we'll see.
