Double Black Blended Scotch Whiskey

In-House, Corporate holiday party...

In the JW lineup, this is now my entry point. I've always found the Red a little harsh (I enjoy everything neat), and maybe it's my advancing age, while I used to really like Black but now think it's too smokey. Palate evolution I guess...

Mellow peat, perfect barrel char, light honey, distant campfire smoke. Perfect just by itself and a cold whiskey stone.

Pre-game (24hr advance) bottle for in-house office party.

Smooth and peaty. Nice to drink. Warm mouth feel.

This is my evening tipple each night from the duty free shop. Very smooth, mild peat, sweet fruit/dates.

Mild peaty, dates, spicy with strength, a bit zesty, and hint if sweetness. Very straightforward and easy to savor. The c/p value is high, and I will have her every night.

Balanced. Inexpensive. Good enough for regular drinking.

Oaktown

Smoother than the standard black label. When I ran it through my Vinturi Spirit aerator, it was even smoother than just taking it out of the bottle straight into a glass.

Probably on part with many single malt scotch available.
