Well... this is at least drinkable. It is a shame to see Superman’s Pal fall prey to the apparently current trend of extreme caramel oak. This unfortunately covers the undoubtedly delicious flavors of the underlying Merlot, as distinguished by the exemplary last go-round. I think this super-caramel is a spirit of the age and hope it shall fall with all faddish trends.

Dec 28th, 2017A thick dark currant tone up front leads to a dusty tannic body with rich coffee flavors, culminating in a lingering chocolate tinged finish. Amazingly an improvement over the superlative prior vintage. Superman's Pal brings the "super" to everything he works on (happy_cat emoji)
