Needed some time to blow away the reduction but once it did, the aromas were incredible - Spice box, dried florals, musky woody perfume, red fruits. The palate felt quite soft with ripe fruits, yet still manages to remain quite juicy. Honestly, it felt a little grenache-like this round - like a really nice whole-cluster grenache.

Just as aromatic as the Chorey-les-Beaune, but denser. Wafted from the glass with aromas of sweet berries, Indian spices, roses, and hints of wood. A bit angular at this stage, though the density, texture, and slightly saline finish does promise a lot with time. Can’t wait to revisit this in 5 years.
