Bright cherry on the nose. A bit of crushed rock too, hay and earth too. It smells young and yummy. The palate is pretty wide and long but really young. Cherry too along a long acid backbone. Tannins that dry a bit the rear, some grip. A finish that lingers reasonably with cherry. Lovely. Very young savigny les Beaune village but in which all terroir markers can be found. Interesting

Nov 17th, 2018Very nice Savigny Les Beaunes. Masculine, dark fruits, nice grip, but not overbearing. All the hallmarks of 2005 from a sometimes overlooked village.
