Private Collection Valle Central Cabernet Sauvignon

This is a mellow, smooth drinking Cabernet, with well balanced acidity despite the brightness of the cherry, currant, and plum fruits. There is a splash of bittersweet dark chocolate on the tongue as well. The lingering finish has a slight mineral bite. It is versatile and food-friendly.

Disappointing for Cabernet Sauvignon: single note, plain and unassuming

This was a club selection a friend shared. Easy drinking but pretty lightweight and disappointing although it did have some cab sauv character.
