Les Grandes Places Côte-Rôtie Syrah
On the nose: a bit of barn, charred wood chips, sweet spices, overripe cherries, more tertiary than primary. On the palate: the sweet spices and overripe cherries dominate with strong undertones of animal barn. Acidity in mid palate welcoming (or else too heavy), juicy and tasty finish.

Apr 1st, 2023Superb. Fruit was rich and vibrant. Oak was fully integrated leaving a delicate spice. Smoke, earth, herbs, flowers all singing. Texture and acid. Liveliness and maturity.
