Minerals, a bit of honey and florals, lemon. Rounded with M acidity. Long finish. Thin and refreshing.

Very interesting taste comparison the Roulot was more on the rich, opulent side of Burgundy While the Lafon was more Linear and austere. Both were beautiful treats needless to say!

I want to like this more than I do because I know Jean-Marc’s 2016 harvest was decimated by frost. He normally makes 80 barrels of Bourgogne Blanc and he made 14 barrels in 2016, utilizing fruit and must from both Chablis and Macon to make up a small portion of the cuvée. Although there is zero reduction, the wine is bright and clean, wide open, and though it’s on the simpler side of Roulot, I’m a huge fan. Drink this while you wait for the 2014/2015/2017’s
