Chavez-Leeds Vineyard Petite Sirah

Nice stuff- originally was thinking "enjoyable wine" - just started opening up right as I finished dinner - revised my score 4 pts higher- suggest 1 hr decant before enjoying.

I love straight petite syrahs. It was a good one to start the night with. Don't remember a lot of specifics other than that it was good.

Dark ink, wonderful fruit and dark spice...

Flint, stewed black fruit, some baking spice. Medium length finish, scant tannins.

Really good. Cherries and cola on the nose. Really balanced: enough acidity to cut through stuff tannins. Soft cherry and vanilla fruit; a little cedar; richly flavored.
