Chewy? Can I say that about wine? A bit chewy and fruity upfront, mellowing into an earthy tobacco. I picked this up because of the emphasis on cab franc which give it a nice mellowness, but they add a good amount of merlot for a nice punch. Very good for the price. Nice wine to have on the shelf for any meat based dinner.

Solid blend, nice balance, good body but not heavy, slight tannin. Feel like it could hold up to a flavorful dish, but I enjoyed it as an after dinner wine
