I don’t drink a lot of Amarone but tried this in a neat little shop (Rudi’s in Mt Pleasant, SC) and very much enjoyed. Definitely rich and high in alcohol but not without balance and enough acidity to be dangerous. Raisiny fruit profile and spice went well with burgers.

A lot of people at the tasting really liked this $65 amarone. I picked up a hot note that detracted.

My birthday with my wonderful husband. Fruity but bold wine. A good wine to try.
