Soft on the nose with blueberries, black currants, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, leather, earth, wet rocks, graphite, dark coffee and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Fruity palate of strawberries, cherries, blueberries, black currants, bell pepper, green vegetables, wet leaves, black pepper, spices, dark coffee, dark chocolates, graphite and earth.
Medium finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a nice red wine from Portugal. Well balanced and spicy, with nice complexity and a soft mouthfeel.
I had the 2013 last year, and it was better. Needs 3 hours to open up properly. Good by itself and better with food. I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
Wine Enthusiasts 91 points. A blend of Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Touriga Nacional. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels.

It’s presented to the senses with a ruby hue with violet notes color, an aroma that is characterized by a very intense ripe fruits and tobacco sent, harmoniously combined with floral notes, as well as vanilla and wild gorse; while in mouth, it is soft and supple, showing great richness and volume, a well balanced acidity, and an integrated and dense tannins. It has a long and lingering finish.
