Inky purple-red, highly extracted pigment. Black currant, briar and spearmint notes in nose. Cherry and black currant flavors, butter in finish, some fine-grained skin astringency as well. Raisin and tar emerge after 90 minutes. Nice complexity if you give it time, not soft or polished but a solid red with character.

Dec 15th, 2017Deep purple red. Cherry cassis herb and sage in nose. Slight raspberry and cassis with cherry and plum in mouth, somewhat tart, rounded mouthfeel, moderate chewy tannin finish. Can age longer, but drinkable now

Hints of oregano, then raisins and currants, some white pepper and a light finish. Yum. Anne Hubatch is making some great stuff out of OR w some grapes from the pac NW.
